Privacy Policy
last updated: September 2026
Short version up front: visitors don't need accounts, there's no tracking network, and I don't sell data. The one place you hand over personal data is the support form. What does get processed technically is listed here — as precisely as possible, without unnecessary fine print.
01 Who's responsible
The person behind system98 is responsible for data processing on this site. Contact details are in the About section of the homepage.
02 What data is processed
Visiting the site and using the tools involves the following data:
- Server logs: IP address, time of access, page requested, and browser info — technically necessary for running the site and protecting against abuse. Visitors don't have accounts, so this can't be permanently tied to a specific person.
- Support tickets: if you write to support, your name, email address, chosen language and the messages of the conversation are stored so the team can answer and follow up. Only signed-in team members can read tickets; nobody else can, except through your personal ticket link. You can ask for a ticket to be deleted at any time.
- Team accounts: people who answer tickets have accounts (email, username, hashed password and an optional profile). Team profiles are only public if the person chooses to make them so.
- Uploaded files: images you upload (e.g. for the background remover) are only processed to produce the result, then not kept afterward.
03 Cookies
No tracking cookies are set for the site's core functions (using the tools, switching language/theme, sending a support ticket). Team members get one technically necessary session cookie after logging in, so the site knows they're signed in.
04 Sharing with third parties
Data isn't sold or shared for advertising purposes. What's involved is limited to:
- Hosting provider: processes server logs as part of running the site.
- Website status tool: the address you type in is requested once by our server to see whether the site answers. The address and the result are not stored; your watchlist lives only in your browser (localStorage).
- Email provider: if ticket emails are switched on, your name, email address and the ticket text pass through the mail provider that delivers them.
- Google Fonts: fonts are loaded from Google's servers to make the site look nice — this can send your IP address to Google.
05 Your rights
You have the right to access, correct, delete, and restrict processing of your data, as well as data portability, where applicable. Since visitors don't have accounts, in practice this concerns server logs and any support tickets you've sent. For questions, just reach out via the About section. You can also file a complaint with a data protection authority at any time.
06 Changes to this policy
If something changes about the tools or the technical setup, this policy might change too. The current version always applies — the date above shows the last update.
